It's hard to get a sense of the ARMS canon what with the game not slated for a general release until July 16, but the impression was that the entire world was basically comprised of anthropomorphic springs, ribbons, slinkies, and noodles. Anything that can stretch and snap. Even the cartoony announcer has a hand on his head. Heck, its most recently revealed character is even literally a bowl of noodles.

That can summon laser-breathing dragons.

But it turns out that's not quite true! In fact, Mechanica -- except for her ability to create rock'em sock'em mecha, is apparently a completely ordinary human girl!

This is just getting more confusing. Are her co-stars androids? Were they surgically modified to replace arms with rocket-powered punchers? Is the mummy actually a mummy?

What happens if Minmin's arms get wet?!

ARMS comes out exclusively for the Nintendo Switch this summer.

James Chen spent most of the last half-decade writing about League of Legends out of Taiwan. Now he writes about it out of Texas. He still hasn't shut up about the lack of English LMS broadcasting. Riot pls.
