ESL is looking to make a strong statement in the competitive debut of Halo 5 with the Halo World Championship. Qualifiers will take place this winter, with the Grand Finals taking place in March of next year.

  • Top 8 teams from North America
  • Top 4 teams from Europe, Middle East, and Africa
  • Top 2 teams from Australia and New Zealand
  • Top team from Asia

The starting prize pool was announced earlier in the year at $1 million, but thanks to REQ Pack crowdfunding, an additional $500,000 has been added to the pool, with the total continuing to increase every day.

ESL says that more details on the event, including format, registration and more are forthcoming in the coming weeks.
